Pithy Paradoxes

Why are we in such a mess today? Why are we insecure? Why is everything unstable? Good questions. The Bible has the answer. James tells us in the first chapter, verse eight of his letter, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." When government in unstable, you can be sure it is under the control of double-minded men. That means trouble.

Want to stay out of trouble? Study the details proving our government is schizophrenic. The U.S. Government is mentally ill. Below you will find proof. According to Wikipedia, "The term schizophrenia translates roughly as 'splitting of the mind', and comes from the Greek 'schizo,' -- 'to split' or 'to divide')." Read the split facts listed below. Try to find some sense to these contradictions:

FACT: Public policy requires a wall of separation between church and state. Baby dedication, marriage and funerals are significant areas of authority for the church.
FACT: The imperial Federal Government allows ex-Presidents to die, subjecting them to state funerals under the authority of the church. Which is true? Both.

FACT: under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) law, government agents are obligated to reply to questions when asked.
FACT: The IRS refuses to cite the law that gives the IRS the authority to demand that people file a 1040 and the IRS charges a $500 fine on anyone who asks. Which is true? Both.

FACT: Any law dictionary will define a crime as a unity of intent and action.
FACT: Most judges, ignoring the need to discover intent, will instruct the jury that their only task is to come back with their answer to the question, "Did the accused do the deed?" Which is true? Both!

FACT: Professional science societies are formed to assure the public that only qualified persons operate in the scientific arena
FACT: The most significant scientific developments in history have been discovered by non-professionals, many of whom have been persecuted and even murdered for "testing the authority" of those societies. Which is true? Both!

FACT: Private attornies are paid by their clients; clients who expect to be served by thier servant attorneys.
FACT: As officers of the court, private attorneys are committed under the rules of the BAR Association to work not for their clients, but for the judge of the court, regardless of the clarity of the facts. Which is true? Both!

FACT: Freedom of speech is guaranteed by the First Amendment.
FACT: trying to exercise that right is often regulated to "assigned areas" where it is assured by authorities that the “free speech” will not be heard by the targeted group or person. Which is true? Both!

FACT: The U.S. Constitution's First Amendment combined with U.S. Supreme Court cases such as Frisby v. Schultz, 487 U.S. 474; U.S. v. Grace, 461 U.S. 171, 176; Edwards v. S. Carolina, 372 U. S. 229 / Furr v. Town of Swansea, F. Supp. 1543, guarantee the right of a person to preach in public.

You have been reading a list of facts that collide with each other. Each pair is alienated from its partner. Those clashes show the source is irrational. The clashes are not simply disagreements. They are proof of a division of understanding within our society showing how we lack the integrity of correct definitions. We have a nation where leaders sort information with sincerely held beliefs and values that may well differ from definitions objectively validated by common experience and by history, and our leaders know it. Their satisfaction with this intolerable situation shows they suffer the corporate mental illness of schizophrenia.

Confirm these contradictions for yourself. Then, ask yourself why government issues information. What is “information?” The purpose for the dissemination of facts, government version, is to give us information that results in getting us "In Formation.” That's another way to say government has the job of keeping things in "order." How can there be order in society when the government's information cancels itself? Ignore what you were taught in school about this being the “land of the free.” Judges want to resolve these conflicts for you by becomming the living law for you. Respect them. Do not trust what you read. Bow to the judge. Look at the floor whenever you stand in court. The judge is the figurehead of what in history was called “The King.” You are safer if you understand you are the slave of imperial governmental power-gone-mad.

If you do not like that idea, here is how to help recover the liberty that was intended by the Founders of the United States. Study the issues raised by these contradictions. Insist that judges, elected officials and employees of government explain why we must live under this paradoxical cloud. Hold them accountable for their fraud and deceit. If a person of ordinary intelligence cannot determine what persons are regulated, what conduct is prohibited, or what punishment may be imposed under a particular law, then that law -- by law -- is unconstitutionally vague. The U.S. Supreme Court has said that no one may be required at peril of life, liberty or property to speculate as to the meaning of a penal law. Everyone is entitled to know what the government commands or forbids. Speak truth to power. Expect the response to be irrational. That's the way the mentally ill behave. They are March Hare, Alice-Queen, Mad Hatter Wizards. They may be entertaining themselves, but we should know them as "Humbugs."

We are living in “fairy tale” days.

"Have some wine," the March Hare said in an encouraging tone. Alice looked all round the table, but there was nothing on it but tea. "I don't see any wine," she remarked. "There isn't any," said the March Hare. "Then it wasn't very civil of you to offer it," said Alice angrily. -- Chapter 7, A Mad Tea PartyAlice In Wonderland.

"Then you should say what you mean," the March Hare went on. "I do," Alice hastily replied; "at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know."
"Not the same thing a bit!" said the Hatter. "You might just as well say that 'I see what I eat' is the same thing as 'I eat what I see.' "You might just as well say," added the March Hare, "that 'I like what I get' is the same thing as 'I get what I like!'
"You might just as well say," added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, "that 'I breathe when I sleep' is the same thing as 'I sleep when I breathe!'"
"Have you guessed the riddle yet?" the Hatter said, turning to Alice again.
"No, I give it up," Alice replied: "That's the answer?' "I haven't the slightest idea," said the Hatter.
"Nor I," said the March Hare.
Alice sighed wearily. "I think you might do something better with the time," she said, "than waste it in asking riddles that have no answers.'" Alice did not quite know what to say to this: so she helped herself to some tea and bread-and-butter, and then turned to the Dormouse, and repeated her question. "Why did they live at the bottom of a well?" The Dormouse again took a minute or two to think about it, and then said, "It was a treacle-well."
"There's no such thing!" Alice was beginning very angry, but the Hatter and the March Hare went "Sh! sh!" and the Dormouse sulkily remarked, "If you can't be civil, you'd better finish the story for yourself."

Players all played at once without waiting for turns, quarreling all the while, and fighting for the hedgehogs; and in a very short time the Queen was in a furious passion, and went stamping about, and shouting "Off with his head!" or "Off with her head!" about once in a minute. Alice began to feel very uneasy: to be sure, she had not as yet had any dispute with the Queen, but she knew that it might happen any minute, "and then," thought she, "what would become of me? They're dreadfully fond of beheading people here; the great wonder is, that there's any one left alive!" Queen's Croquet Ground Chapter 8.

"Thinking again?" the Duchess asked, with another dig of her sharp little chin. "I've a right to think" said Alice sharply, for she was beginning to feel a little worried. "Just about as much right," said the Duchess, `as pigs have to fly. Chapter 9 – Mock Turtle's story.

Remember this segment from the Wizard of Oz?

DOROTHY
We'd like you to keep your promise to us, if you please, sir.

OZ'S VOICE

DOROTHY

WIZARD

WIZARD
Yes-s-s -- that...that's exactly so. I'm a humbug!

DOROTHY
Oh, you're a very bad man!

WIZARD
Oh, no, my dear -- I'm -- I'm a very good man. I'm just a very bad Wizard.

If all this does not persuade you that our government is schizophrenic, I would like to know what it would take. Shall we call it "Factophrenia?" Or is is "Schizofactia?" Whatever it is, to ignore it will put your life in peril.

Drop us a line and we will send you a six page version of this document, with footnotes. We were unable to format footnotes within the webpage. Write P.O. Box 344, Nipomo, CA 93444. Be sure to send a postage paid large (two-stamp) envelope or at least a dollar for postage and handling.

Here is an example of one of the footnotes:
Void for vagueness is a legal concept in American constitutional law, whereby a civil statute or, more commonly, a criminal statute is adjudged unconstitutional when it is so vague that persons "of common intelligence must necessarily guess at its meaning and differ as to its application," as the United States Supreme Court articulated in Connally v General Construction Co., 269 U.S. 385, 391 (1926). A statute is void for vagueness when: 1) it is unclear what persons fall within its scope, 2) what conduct is forbidden, and/or 3) what punishment may be imposed. Due process requires that a law be reasonably definite as to what persons and conduct are covered as well as the punishment for any violation. In determining whether a law is void for vagueness, courts have imposed the following tests: 1) does the law give fair notice to those persons subject to it? 2) does the law guard against arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement? and 3) can the law be enforced with sufficient "breathing room" for First Amendment rights?
